Father was Gino Vadigno born in Atignana D'Estria
Mother was Maria Vadigno/nee Cergnul born in San Martino Albona

There's reference to a Maria Cergnul in Giovanni's Manifest....

They were siblings... I am certainly hoping that these two are connected...

Hello Kristina - my name is Silvana and I have sent you an email (I got some names mixed up in that) to try and contact you after seeing this forum.
My mother was Maria Cergnul born in San Martino Albona
Her mother was Giovanna Cergnul and her father was Matteo Cergnul who worked in the Navy and went to America all through the early 20's and 30's.
My mother had 1 sister name Emilia and 9 brothers including Goeseppe, Fanko, Matteo, Giovanni. I am also trying to find my ancestors from that region.

I am hoping that forum members can help you with your Vadigno / Cergnul line... just need to get some sleep right now

I am Jeff Cergnul. I am interested in any and all information on tracing the Cergnul Family as well!
My Aunt just found Emilio Cergnul. He was a prisoner in Mauthausen Concentration camp. He was born in 1920 and died in the camp in 1945 two months before the Americans were able to liberate the camp.
I just found this out today so this is a shock for my family. please let me know if you know of him and who he is directly related to. I believe he was my Grandfathers first cousin. My Great Great grandfather was Matteo, My great grandfather was Giovanni (John), My grand father was Frank Rudolf Cergnul, and My Father is Frank Anthony Cergnul. I have two Sons named Dominic and Alexander. Nice to meet you all.

Your Mothers mother was Giovanna and her father was Matteo? if so then Maria was Giovanni's (My great grandfather) Sister!!
Do you know Marias other brothers and sisters names?
