Dated 23 November 1902 in Ari
Declaration of birth made by the midwife, Rachele Mennilli, daughter of deceased Francesco, age 30. She declared that at 11:30 PM on the 22nd of the current month in the house in Borgo San Pietro #231, to Donata Cipollone, daughter of Nicola, farmer, wife of Camillo Viani, son of deceased Antonio, farmer; both residing in the town, was born a male child who was given the name Nicola.
Witnesses to the recording of the birth: Giovanni Iannato(?) 49, farmer; and Pietro d'Alessandro, 53, farmer; both residing in this town.
The midwife declared the birth because she helped with the birth, and in place of the husband of Cipollone, because he was far from the town.

The margin notation is a marriage to Venera Passeri on 18 April 1925 (Act #3)
