Help with surname -- Junco or Iunco

Post by delfgill »

Publication of Marriage #70 (Image 72)

I’ve always thought the bride’s surname was Junco but I haven’t had much success finding records using this spelling.

Any chance the last name is Iunco? I remember reading an article explaining how “i” and “j” are used interchangeably. Your thoughts?

Many thanks!
