I have been looking for the children for Giuseppe Antonio Peila and Victoria Merlo in Rivarolo Canavese and the surrounding areas. I found their marriage record:
I cannot find any children until 1778 in Rivarolo. Since they were married in 1770 I assume they had children before 1778 . Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks!
If Victoria was born in c.1758 (as suggested in a family tree on Ancestry.com) then she'd be only about12 years old at marriage in 1770. If true, that could be why.
Also, infant mortality rates were very high at that time.
