Help finding where in ITALY my great-great-great-grandfather was born

Over 25 million Italians have emigrated between 1861 and 1960 with a migration boom between 1871 and 1915 when over 13,5 million emigrants left the country for European and overseas destinations.

Help finding where in ITALY my great-great-great-grandfather was born

Post by maxi1860 »

My great-great-great-grandfather was born in ITALY, but I don't know in which city. Is there a way to find it out?

Tks, Maximiliano

If you don't enter your ancestor's details, certainly no one will be able to help you.

For Italians who immigrated to the USA, there's no better source of information than arrival records. I was able to find the age, comune of origin, and even a parent's name. This was enough to help me locate the birth record.

However, I'm not sure where you are from and if your country kept comparable records.
