Comune of Oppido documenting deceased ancestors, #18, Domenico Donia, son of the deceased Giacomo, of Rocca di Sicilia, April 28 of (I believe) 1818. Released for the purpose of marriage, Oppido, July 16, 1834.
Researching Gibellina, Sicily surnames Bivona, Bonafede, Zummo, Ponzio, Bevinetto, Beninati, Fontana, Cipolla, Bruno, Manfrè, Lanfranca, and Navarra

John,
I suspect "Rocca di Sicilia" is referring to the town of "Roccavaldina"? Both Donia and Dunia seem to be listed there, today anyway.

Roccavaldina is a definitely possibility. In the area there is also Roccalumera, but I don't see the surname there currently.
