Baptisms and Weddings in Voghera

As a nation state, Italy has emerged only in 1871. Until then the country was politically divided into a large number of independant cities, provinces and islands. The currently available evidences point out to a dominant Etruscan, Greek and Roman cultural influence on today's Italians.

Baptisms and Weddings in Voghera

Post by Ncurani1 »

Hello, I am researching my ancestors and trying to find the possible place where my ancestors got married and baptised. I am wondering if you could tell me by the decade around 1860 to 1870, what was the main church to baptise and celebrate weddings. It seems my ancestors traveled from Casei Gerola for such events.

Presently, there are 11 Parishes in Voghera:

but maybe some became a Parish only after 1870.
