TRANSLATION: Marriage #12 1889 - Cleto Aiudi and Assunta Girolomoni

Post by hallsandgrants »

Greetings, I would like to get a narrative translation of "Atti di Matrimoni" record #12 for Cleto Aiudi and Assunta Girolomoni from Isola Del Piano dated 1889. I am a newbie and a detailed translation of the entire document would be very helpful to me, to include the pre-printed portions (it will help me to read other documents in the future).

Please see record #12 (pages 14-15 of 32) in either the link below or image attachment below. If you cannot read the attached images then click on the link, scroll to record 12, and enlarge it. Grazie! Eric

This is the LITERAL translation:

In the year eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, on the 10th of October, at eight o'clock and thirty minutes, in the municipal house of Isola del Piano, open to the public. In front of me Bonetti Don Francesco, senior councilor, due to the absence of the mayor and official councilor of the marital status, dressed in official form, have personally appeared: # 1. Aiudi Cleto, aged twenty-nine, farmer born in Montefelcino, resident in Isola Del Piano, son of the late Alifrio (?), having lived in Isola Del Piano, and of Mencarini Lucia, resident in said commune; #2. Girolomoni Assunta, twenty-two years old, peasant born in Sorbolongo, resident of Isola Del Piano, daughter of Giovanni, and of the late Pierleoni Albina, residents in that place, who in have asked to join them in marriage; to this effect they presented me with the document described below; and from the examination of this as well as of those already produced at the time of the request for publications, which all, with my consideration, I insert in the volume of the attachments to this register, resulting in nothing to hinder the celebration of their marriage, I have read to the spouses the articles one hundred and thirty, one hundred and thirty one and one hundred and thirty-two of the civil code and then I asked the husband if he intends to marry the here present Girolomoni Assunta, and if she intends to marry the here present Aiudi Cleto, and having each replied affirmatively to the full understanding of the witnesses indicated below I have pronounced in the name of the law that the same are united in marriage. Attending this act were: Fabbiani Pittario, aged twenty-four, employee, and Federici Fedele, aged fifty, landowner, both residents in this municipality. The document presented is the certification of the publication of marriage posted in this commune. the first on the twenty-second and the second on the twenty-ninth of September eighteen hundred eighty-nine. having read this deed, the interveners have signed it with me except for the spouses who are illiterate.

Father's name looks to be Alipio. Have only had a quick look at the other names which look good. Well done.
