There are a lot of records on line at the antenati site for the Province of Catania for you to search. While Ferrara is a surname that appears in the town of Mascalucia, I didn’t see a record there for Contesta. She may have been born prior to 1820. I’m not convinced the town of birth is Mascalucia. I don’t know what it is. Hopefully someone else will know.
In this 1839 Marriage Record, Concetta Ferrara, was 18 yo (c.1821), born in M?, living in Raddusa, the daughter of the deceased Angiolo Ferrara and of Giuseppa Scardia, 44 yo, living Raddusa.
It's too bad there are no allegati online for this marriage, which would've included Concetta's birth record. The other option would be to look for her death record, which should also include her birth town.
