This is a Toughie

Post by MinnieB »

I have a Natale Pizzerelli in my tree and it looks like this may be his wife's death record, but I don't have her name. This record shows a last name is Putignano, can't make out the first name, I can see bits of it, but lots of worm damage. The age is in the ballpark of what I'd expect. I'm assuming at the bottom it's listing all of their children with their ages, is that correct? I only had one of their children in my tree, Lonardo, if that is indeed their children the age is in the ballpark. I wish I had something better to confirm if this is his wife and her first name, but the records don't go far back enough to get their marriage rec as it would be prior to 1809.

My guess for her name is Giuseppa, but I can't be sure
Children are Lorita, 50yo; Lonardo, 47; Anna, 44; Domenico, 38; Vincenzo, 40; Rosa, 30
Husband's surname is Pizzarelli
You might want to search for children's death records, to check mother's name.

Mother's name is Crescenzia Putignano.

Clearer here in the marriage act of their daughter Rosa Maria Pizzarelli in December 1809.
Groom was Giovanni Stefano Mazzelli, age 19.
Bride: Rosa Maria Pizzarelli, age 19.
At the time of the wedding, Natale Pizzarelli (father of the bride) was deceased.

Oh my gosh you guys are amazing! Thanks for figuring that out. I wasn't sure if those were indeed the children or not. So glad they listed them all that is a big help. I've only seen that a couple of times.
