witness to birth

In this birth record there is a Vitaliano Manfredi who appears to be a witness but I don't understand how they are using the word for university. Can someone please transcribe the information pertaining to Manfredi who is on a few other birth records.

Thank you

You do not tell us the record number, but I found several records where Manfredi is a witness. The word after his name describing his profession is "usciere" which means he was an usher. It states that he lives in the university in the road of the parish.

FYI - the witnesses to these records are usually of no relation to the birth. They are persons who were at the town hall at the time of the recording of the document of birth, and serve as witnesses to its creation.
