Why was February 5 a popular day to get married

Post by rp76226 »

There were 106 marriages in 1921 in Polizzi Generosa. 14 of them, records # 13 to 26 occurred on February 5, 1921. Seems very unusual. Can anyone explain why? Here's the Antenati link:

I had a look, but it might just be a coincidence! It was a Saturday, which was probably a popular day to be married. Not sure if there was a festival going on in the town at the time.
Always interesting when you come across things like this :)
Researching the following:
From Basilicata: D'Amato, Caruso, Pinto, Montano, Logiodice, Bonadies
From Calabria: Natale, Cartisano, Valenzisi, Pentimalli, Minasi
