BACKGROUND
I'm trying to find the birth record of an ancestor who is a possible foundling. Carmine Fuoco listed his birthdate as August 1887, and 15 July 1888. In every record in Canada, he lists his birthplace as Parenti. However, on his death record, it lists his birthplace as Naples. The informant was his recent wife (his first wife predeceased him), who was not Italian and may have mistaken his birthplace. His parents were ... well this also gets weird. He came to Canada at age 13 with adult Gabriele Fuoco and 10 year old Pietro. I found Pietro's birth record, and it says Gabriele was his father. The date of birth on Pietro's death record matched the birth record in Parenti where his father is listed as Gabriele. However, on his death record, and marriage record in Canada, his father is listed as Raffaele. It really seems like Gabriele changed his name to Raffaele. Carmine's Canadian records all list his father as Raffaele.
In any case, I can't find any Carmine Fuoco born in the years surrounding 1887 to either a Raffaele or a Gabriele Fuoco. The mother's name was Maria/Maria Teresa/Teresa Maria Lupia.
The reason I think Carmine may have been a foundling is that Gabriele and Maria Teresa had several children who died in infancy; one as old as two years old. It didn't seem to be happening to neighbours at the time. Perhaps if they were losing so many children, they may have adopted one of the many foundlings who were delivered by the local midwive, Rosaria Angotti, with the parents' names either redacted or, if I'm lucky, maybe with a note that the parents couldn't keep the infant for some reason.
REQUEST
Herein lies the following translation request. I noticed this birth in September 1887 of a "Carmine" and there were a lot of unusual notes at the bottom, which aren't on the notes of other birth records. Can anyone translate this for me? I tried typing into Google Translate but I am having a hard time reading the handwriting.
And, if anyone has any superhero tips on finding Carmine's birth record, please share
