Post Card Translation

Post by tiff31 »

Hello, I have this post card that belonged to my great grandmother. I have tried my best to translate it, but sadly I am having no luck. If anyone could please help me, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank You!

This is what I am understanding:

I send you my photograph
to remind you of my face (i.e. to remind you of what I look like)
I greet you and I kiss you strongly

your niece/grand-daughter Michelina?

Remember me, and send for me to (come) to America?

(nipota - can be either niece or grand-daughter)

Thank you so much! I truly appreciate your answer. I have never heard of a Michelina, but I am still learning new things. This side has been a struggle for me to find them, so she could very well be on the tree somewhere. Again, thank you so very much.

My pleasure. I wonder if she ever made it to America. She may have gone by the name Lina? Just a thought.
