Gioacchino Ardente No 15
Registered Santa Maria Capua Vetere, 31 December 1890
Maria Michela Ciglione, 67 yo, receiver of the foundlings, delivered to the official a baby boy, seeming to be 1 day old, found with a used muslin cap, a cotton blanket, a muslin shirt, a cotton wash cloth? with similar band, and three used diapers. She reported that yesterday at 2.30 pm she found the baby in the wheel, with the items as indicated above. The baby was imposed the name Gioacchino and the surname Ardente. I’m not quite catching all the words but I am understanding that she was then entrusted to the Receiver. The other names there are the witnesses to the registration proceedings

Thank you! Wonder why they put three used diapers in there!

Used - as in second-hand, previously worn, so not new - that's my take on this.
Generally, in the birth registration record of babies that were "found" they listed everything that was found with the baby giving a description of the items in case the parents of the baby wanted to recognise the baby as their own at a later stage.

That makes so much more sense. I was thinking literal! Thank you so much!
