Help with bride's name

Post by jml1991 »

I would much appreciate help with reading the bride's name in the attached 1661 marriage record from Pietraperzia, Sicily. The record in question is #56, in the middle of the right hand page. As I read it, the groom is Giovanni, son of Luciano and Filippa Riccobene. I believe that the bride's parents are Giuseppe and Caterina Alletta, but I cannot read the bride's first name. Any thoughts? Thank you!

Thank you! I thought that is what it looked like, but it seems an uncommon name (first time seeing it in many years of family research), so I thought I might be misreading it.

No, the name doesn't come up on the forum that often, maybe once or twice. It is a legitimate name. Happy to help.
