Raffaele DePaola death date

Post by AndieL »

My dad and I are researching his grandfather, Raffaele DePaola. He was born and lived most of his life in Borno Portenope, Calabria. His was born in 1870. His wife was Pasquollina Bonfiglio. They had 4 children - 3 daughters and 1 son, Francesco (my grandfather). Raffaele and Francesco came to the US in 1921. Raffaele returned to Italy in 1926 and never returned to the US. Francesco remained in the US the rest of his life. We believe Raffaele died in the mid - late 1930's as we have a letter from him to my grandfather that is dated 1935. Any suggestions or help in finding his birth and death certificates would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Is there any way to find out when he died? It likely was in the mid to late 1930's and would have been in the same area as he did not remain in the US.
