Hi everyone,
I need assistance translating the details of a Notice of Recognition.
The record can be found here on Ancestry, page 50, No. 3, Laraia:
https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/co ... pId=453736
And here on FamilySearch, page 1330:
https://www.familysearch.org/records/im ... eView=true
My understanding is that the biological parents of the 7 children listed in the left margin are:
Giuseppe Laraia, born around 1836 (son of deceased Domenicantonio) and
Isabella Fiorile, born around 1849 (daughter of deceased Vincenzo)
Laraia and Fiorile were not married when the children were born. The Recognition was necessary in order for them to marry in 1900:

It appears 4 of the children were given to wet nurses. Am I missing any other important details?
I’ve spent 3 months searching in and around Viggiano for the birth of an Arturo Laraia. His naturalization paperwork lists Viggiano as his birth place in 1899. I’ve checked 10 years before/after but found nothing.

I’m now wondering if the child listed in the Recognition notice might be him.
Many thanks!

Re: Help with a Notice of Recognition
The Francesco Arturo Santacroce who was recognized in this record as the son of Giuseppe Laraia and Isabella Fiorile, was born 14 December 1889, and given to be nursed by Lucrezia Prinzi.
Here is the original birth act in Parte II, #17, year 1889.
The wetnurse Lucrezia Prinzi was age 19, spinner, daughter of Vito.

Yes, 4 of the children were consigned to wet nurses.
The first born, Nunzia (1872) was given her mother's surname, appears to have stayed with Isabella.
The second born, Giulietta (1875) was consigned, and in 1890 was recognized by her mother and given the surname Fiorile.
The third born, Domenicantonio (1876) was given his mother's surname and stayed with Isabella.
