I was hoping someone could help me with Anna Maria Melaragno parents names ? I am having trouble reading the birth record . thank you

I can understand why you're having trouble reading the parents names, so am I.

The father I am certain is Pasquale Melaragno, son of Giuseppe, 28 yo, contadino.

The mother's surname looks to be Massano but more likely to be Massaro. I am reading that she was the daughter of Giacinto. I can't make out her given name.

What you could do is either look for other children born to Pasquale or keep going backwards and look for his marriage record and his wife's given name hopefully will be clearer there. Personally I'd be looking for the marriage record as the records going backwards look to be in better condition.

I've found another child born to them in the indices. The mother's given name is Concetta. I'll post the link to the birth record shortly.

I've corrected Concetta's surname. I'm still tossing a little bit between Marsano and Massano but in this record I'm reading Marsano. Someone else can take a look.
