Translate Marriage Record
This marriage record is 4 pages long. Having some issues with handwriting on names on the first page. On the other pages, are there any grandparent records?

Here are the processetti, for a check:
https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... Jj?lang=en
There's the death record of Giuseppe La Torre, father of Innocenzio, too.

Re: Translate Marriage Record
Thanks for that information. I still have questions:
1. You mentioned the death record for Innocenzio La Torre. is that on page 3 of the marriage record?
2. Pages 3 and 4 of the marriage record seem to have important information, but while i can recognize a couple of names, I can't seem to translate the rest of it.

Re: Translate Marriage Record
Angela’s surname is Pomara and not Romano. Pomara is found in Corleone. The surname is much clearer in the processetti records posted in your other post, Ron.PippoM wrote: 19 Oct 2024, 10:02 Hi Ron, it's very hard to read...

Thank you.
Yes, I had determined that the proper spelling is Pomara from other documents of relatives.

Innocenzio's death is on page 435, and duplicated on 436. Giuseppe's is on page 437

Re: Translate Marriage Record
1. I found Innocenzio's death record on page 435, but the year is crossed out with another word added but I cannot make out what year it is.
2. I found Giuseppe's death record on page 437, but it is not formatted and I can't translate paragraphs, just formatted records.
3. For future reference, I've never figured out how to utilize allegati and processetti records. There seems to be no index nor any order in which the documents are presented. Is there a "process" to follow?

Page 435 is not Innocenzio’s death record. It is the death record for his widow, Angela Pomara, age 44.
I don’t see innocenzio’s record. There are 2 copies of Angela’s. One is the civil death record.

Re: Translate Marriage Record
Innocenzio La Torre's name appears first after "e mort" on page 435, then married to Angela Pomaro. On 436, her name appears first and his second. Also, the fathers names are different on each page, so I think it is both death records.
I think that they both died the same day.
What is the year of death. November 11 ?

Re: Translate Marriage Record
Just chiming in here as I can see there are some issues. I totally agree with Ron that the allegati include Innocenzio's Death Record (page 435 of the allegati). He died in 1838. It's a tricky read. I've located his original record for you Ron which is clearer. I don't have time to look at Angela Pomare's record (image on page 436 of the allegati). I could come back much later in the day but I think she died in 1840 and I see the word hospital. I don't believe they died on the same day.
Here's Innocenzio's Death Record for now:
Record No 112 – Innocenzio La Torre, 40 yo, born in Corleone, a villico, died 3 May 1838. He was the son of deceased Giuseppe (La Torre) and deceased Giuseppa Mangiameli. I am reading that Innocenzio was the husband of Angela Pomare
Original death record is here: https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 52/Lza49o9

Re: Translate Marriage Record
Thank you Angela.
I did not find Angela Pomaro in the 1840 death records for Corleone. The death index for 1840 is organized much differently than I've ever seen.

Re: Translate Marriage Record
Hi Ron
She actually died in 1841. I looked at 1840 as well and then when I had a closer look at the allegati record I could see that it was actually 1841. Unfortunately, though, the actual record is missing. It would seem they skipped her page when they were filming She is definitely in the index and this is what I'm understanding between the index and the allegati extract:
Angela Pomara, 44 yo, born in Corleone, died on 29 November 1841. (Death Index No 124.) She was the daughter of the deceased Paolo (Pomara) and of the deceased Bernarda Pomara? She was the widow of the deceased Innocenzio La Torre.
The index is here: https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/ark:/12 ... 56/04NJnG9
Hope this helps with your research.

Re: Translate Marriage Record
Yes, thank you so much.
Strangely, record 124 does exist but it is not her. Records 122 and 123 are missing so she is probably on one of those even though the index says 124. I do not see her age. Where did you get that information from? Also, the month on record number 124 looks like March, not November.

I also did not see her husband's name in the index.
