Help info on ship manifest

Post by Prinetime »

Hi there does anyone want to take a stab at reading this passenger list.
I am looking at line 25 Cataldo Ariostatico (was indexed as Eriostico) which is why I couldn't find it. thanks to Steve Moores search engine list I found it!
I'd love to read the section who he was visiting.. looks like cousin...

background. he was born in 1867 he was living in the Taranto area, but he could have been born in Chieti. He was married and went 4 years before his wife and 3 kids. settled in NYC.
see photo or link to ellis island record [/code][https://heritage.statueofliberty.org/pa ... ListAnchor]

this might be better link to the record: https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903 ... 3AJXLD-2P1

this is the section he is visiting. says Cousin De_ensio Ce_a_i (index says this is Defensio Cerari.. that's a weird unknown name !)

The given name is Cesare. I'm not sure what the surname is. It could very well be an invented name. Maybe he was also a foundling?
