Help reading birth certificate

I got a family member's birth certificate but I can't read it.

it looks like they have sent me the wrong guy's certificate OR they made a mistake in the birth year.

they claim that he was born on the birth certificate in 1898. but it can't be.
he was supposed to be born around 1850-1870

can you tell if they made a mistake in the certificate translation?

Hi

Please upload a better copy that doesn't need to be rotated. Have you clicked on the image of the civil record? It's a bit hard on the neck as it needs rotating and the image just doesn't want to rotate for me. In the margin I can see that it says (1898) under his name but I can't read the text of the record. Possibily others have had the same experience as it has already been downloaded a five times.

Re the notification, I'm understanding that they have sent you a copy of the Birth Record of Elia Scetbon, born 5 January 1989 in Tunisia, parents are Leone Vita Scetbun and Maria Gredz.

I guess they gave me the wrong guy's birth certificate.
His son was born in 1902, which can't make sense.
I never saw a 4-year-old parent

Thank you for taking the time to transcribe this. For some reason I couldn't rotate the image. I knew it was a transcription and that this Elia was born in 1898 (1899 was my typo). Unfortunately, it is not the correct Elia Scetbun/Scetbon.

Hi there

Happy to help. Sorry that it is not the correct birth record. You might need to rewrite a letter stating his approximate year of birth and giving both his parents names if you have them.

Hey guys, I got another family member's birth certificate, alto its in French - can you see anywhere in the certificate the full names of the parents or how old are the parents during this birth? or where are the parents from? ( could be Italy-Livorno|Tunisia-Mehdia/Beja/Monastir/Tunis)

Do you know here any other way to request birth certificate from Livorno?
Maybe there is an online database ?
I have tried to contact Livorno city in emails but they are not very helpful .
