MyHeritage DNA Sale

MyHeritage is running a special on DNA testing today for CyberMonday.

By paper trail, I'm Sicilian, French-Canadian, Norwegian, Danish, and German. I'm especially interested in the Sicilian which is 50% (100% of paternal side, back at a least to the mid-1700s) and how specifically "Sicilian" can be detected and reported by them.

A second interest is Native American which is rumored to exist in the French-Canadian line.

A third interest is in the surname line which I take is traced by the Y haplogroup.

My question is how effective would MyHeritage be in addressing these issues?

Is there a better choice on sale?

MyHeritage will give you a Southern Italian/Greek, but not specifically Sicilian. Ancestry is doing a sale too, again, Southern Italian/Eastern Medittereanean is what I get. I honestly doubt they separate out Sicilian, as I've never seen it on any matches profiles, even when their tree shows 100% Sicilian. Ancestry does do N American native ancestry pretty well. Not sure of MyHeritage. MH has more European customers, it seems. I have deeper NA ancestry by paper trail, but not DNA. Needs to be within about 4-5 gens, I think, then it peters out...

23andme can do this. It did very specific locations at my dna, from my biological father.
