births from 1840-1870
Good morning, I'm trying to find births between 1840-1870 in Racalmuto, Agrigento, Sicily, Italy. seems I can only find starting with the date of 1866. Is there somewhere else I can look. Thanks in advance for your help.

There are baptism records from 1564 to 1900 at this website, but the archdiocese wants a donation to access them. You also need to register on the website.

How do I search for Pompei/ Pompej last name, when I can not read Italian, I am from Australia and looking for Vincenzo Pompei/ Pompej born anywhere from 1800 to 1840 in Italy, possibly Naples? Any help would be truly appreciated.

Tons of people here can give you great advice, but maybe try this as a guide:

However, you must first know the specific comune within the Province that the person(s) you're searching for lived. Otherwise, you'll quickly become entangled in an exercise of futility.
Good luck.
