***This is NOT a marriage record. It is a death record for Adele Dufilho, widow of Pierre Leopold Jeannet.

Dated April 16, 1898 at 3 in the morning

This is the act of death for Adele Dufilho, age 68, property owner. She died in her own house, located at Rue de Rocher #63, at 6 in the morning on the 15th of April. She had been born in New Orleans, United States of America, and was the daughter of Louis Joseph Dufilho and deceased Adele Becnel. She was the widow of Pierre Leopold Jeannet.

Then there are a number of officials listed who verified the death.

Lastly, there are the names of the two individuals who had declared the death.
1. Joseph Ferdinand Borde, age 53, living on Rue de Prony, #54. He was a nephew of the deceased.
2. Napoleon Baudouin, living on Boulevard Malesherbes, #99.

***Both of these two declarants supposedly signed the act along with the various officials, but most of the signatures are cut off in the image you posted. Also her place of burial is not given in the act.

Just to clarify-

The death took place in Paris, where the deceased was living, and not in New Orleans where she was born. The official to whom the death was declared, named Joseph Sanoboeuf, was an assistant to the mayor and officer of the civil state of the 8th district of Paris. The declarants of the death, who appeared before this official, also were living in Paris.

*Are these records online? If so, can you provide the link?

The time on the 16th should be 10 in the morning, not 3 as I originally typed above.
