Records Access Help Molfetta

Post by porta1412 »

Hello all,
Im after some information on the following please.
Im heading over to Molfetta early next year to research more of my family history (my nonno was born in Molfetta).
- How do i go about getting access to the records?
- Where would the records be located?
- Does anyone have the email address for requesting military records? Would this be the Bari archives?

Any help would be amazing, i dont want to travel all that way and not get access to records.
Thanks
Joe

You can find here:

https://antenati.cultura.gov.it/search- ... a=molfetta

lots of records publicly available, as to births, deaths and marriages up to 1900.
Military records are at the Archivio di Stato di Bari, but it has several locations, so, you ought to find out where records of Molfetta are kept.
You can write to as-ba@cultura.gov.it

Hey everyone, delving into family history is quite an adventure! Finding records can sometimes feel like navigating a complex io games map, where each clue is a new level. For Molfetta records access, I'd start by contacting the local Comune. They might direct you to the correct archive. For military records, yes, Bari archives is a good bet. Good luck with your search!

The military service records and conscription lists for Molfetta are held at the Barletta branch of the State Archives of Barletta-Andria-Trani.
