Ranallo, Picciano, and Sepede Families from Busso (CB)

I’m researching the Ranallo, Picciano, and Sepede families of Busso (CB). I’ve traced my own line as follows: 2GGM Libera Antonia Ranallo (b. 23 AUG 1813; m. Donato Felice di Nonno of Campobasso) < 3GGF Giovanni Ranallo (b. c1776; d. 06 AUG 1847; m. Angela Antonia Musenga of Ferrazzano) < 4GGF Nicola Ranallo (b. c1729; d. 09 JUN 1797; m. Isabella Picciano of Busso) < 5GGF Leopoldo Ranallo (m. Livia Sepede of Busso).

I’m interested in exchanging information with anyone who is also doing research in Busso or who is interested in any of the surnames listed below.

I've just started my research, but my GGF, I believe is Berardo or (Bernardino) Ranallo (Ranello) who married Cristina Carnavale and immigrated to US around 1905. Have alot of blanks to fill.

My Ranallo family originated in Busso (CB). However, the surname Ranallo appears in several dozen towns throughout Abruzzo and Molise, as well as in a few widely dispersed towns throughout the rest of Italy. Therefore, it is very important for you to determine exactly where your family originated. Immigration and naturalization record can be very helpful to this task. Once you establish where your family originated, you can then verify exactly what records are available. The surname Carnevale does exist in Abruzzo and Molise, but it is also widely disbursed throughout Italy.

My GGrandfather is Giovanni Antonio Ranallo, son of Nicola, who is son of Antonio. Your post is from long ago. Have you found any more info?

I have only one Giovanni Antonio Ranallo in my database, born 24 MAR 1913 and he is the son of Felice. Do you have any dates for your ancestors? My 4th Great Grandfather is NIcola Ranallo, born circa 1728, died 09 JUN 1797, son of Leopoldo.
