Re: Russo-Bova/Palmieri-Nigro
Have you been able to place any of these people on a ship manifest or on a Census yet? I'm only asking because you said you are guessing on the year of immigration. Which part of Italy did they come from and were the children born in Italy or the US?

You can trace your family by renting/ordering the LDS-FHL films for the town of Termini. These films are the original birth, marriage & death acts for the years 1820 through 1910.>

Re: Russo-Bova/Palmieri-Nigro
The manifest provided by Suanj shows Virgilia Nigro's birth "town(?)" as Avellino, but mother living in Atripalda, which is in the province of Avellino. You may want to see about obtaining additional US records to confirm her town of birth + the name of her parents (Giovanna Imbimbo and husband, ?)and/or rent/order the appropriate FHL film to obtain her birth act from either the town of Avellino or Atripaida.........The marriage application & birth & baptismal records for her children may have this information.
US civil records:>
Birth and Death records are filed with the Clerk of the city, town or village in which the event occurred and, normally, with the New York State Bureau of Vital Records.
A marriage license may sometimes be obtained from the town or city clerk who issued the license. The fee is $10.00 if you obtain a certified copy from a town or city clerk.
Or
Onondaga County Vital RecordsOnondaga County Birth & Death
421 Montgomery St # 20
Syracuse, NY 13202
(315) 435-3241
Your request must clearly state "For Genealogical Purposes Only." Fee for Search Time: $10.00 per hour or fractional part of an hour for each search. Fee for Uncertified Copy or Abstract: $1.00 per copy.
Films for Atripaida:>

Hope this helps.

Re: Russo-Bova/Palmieri-Nigro
I dont have their children ....maybe you can inform me of them ...I have Agostino Russo's parents siblings and so on back till about 1740 ....and Maria Bova's parents...I didnt tie that branch of the Bova's to my direct line of Bova's yet. Re: Russo-Bova/Palmieri-Nigro
It's several years since you posted your query about the Bovas in Syracuse, so I am wondering if you have learned more?
I am looking for information on a Marina or Maryann or Marianna Bova 'going to Syracuse to my husband ? Bova at 332 W. Jefferson St., Syracuse.
She is traveling on the ship Giulia from Palermo and arrived on 22 May 1905. She is the guardian of a young boy, Salvatore Bergamo who is age 3. I know that Salvtore was born in Termini Imerese. His mother was Maria Grazia Cosentino and his father was Ludivico or Domenico Bergamo.
