Where is the 'ALERT BUTTON' for 'spammers' and the like????

There aren't any moderators now - are there? The 'Home Page' always seems to show "No staff present" ...so what exactly are we poor old members supposed to do in an emergency like bad language or spammers?

Or does the Administration prefer that we just ignore such things and do NOTHING?

It's the not knowing and seeming (?) lack of attention that is sooooo frustrating!

Not to worry..the site administrator has been notified and he will take care of this. We try and do whatever we can to ensure these types of posts are identified and reported immediately...Spammers are never welcome here!

You're right though..I think an alert button is a great idea. :D

An 'ALERT BUTTON' sounds like a good idea, I will see if I can add one to the forum messages.

For now just send a PM with the subject SPAM and the url (link) of the topic and I will remove it as soon as possible.

Nuccia and Wldspirit, thank you for alerting me by PM!

Thank you all for such a positive response. It is really appreciated!

I do hope you can arrange for an 'alert' button Edmondo - it would be a boon I'm sure.

You're welcome Edmondo..thats what we're here for! Thanks for removing the spam as well. We all know how busy you are..and we know this is a hobby for you. You devote so much of your "off" time to maintaining and redesigning this forum..always giving us the best. We all appreciate it very much.

And Carole, great idea. I'm glad Edmondo is considering it (and when he considers something its usually in the works already so don't be surprised if it pops up soon).

I've seen a few forums over the last few months destroyed by spammers..some have had to shut down altogether. I can't believe people have nothing better to do...so sad, really.
