Information about Brignole & Rettano surnames

I'm doing some research about two ancestors:
Carlo Brignole from Novi and his wife Maria Magadalena Rettano from Sestri Ponente...
Seems they arrived to Spain by the 1820s...My family doesn't have clear information about their birth and marriage dates...All the information I have comes from the birth certificate of their daughter (b.1829)

I'd like information about the surnames (especially Rettano) and about any clues that can help me to obtain more information about them.

Both surnames are in the province of Genova, Liguria region and there are 27 listings for Brignole in the cioty of Genova itself. There is no listing for Rettano in Sestri Ponente but that should not stop you from requesting fdocuments from Sestri if you approximate the mothers age and request a birth record for her. The same would hold true for the father but in his case there are three NOVI..... but none are in theLiguria region. I suspect the NOVI LIGURE located In Piemonte might be close to Genove. Go to www.paginebianche.it and use the first line for the surnames and the towns for the third line and click cerca. In Fathers cas Brignole is located currently in Genova. Peter
