Surnames: Vanzo, Marietta and Pattis

I am looking for information on the following surnames: Vanzo (Francesco Vanzo, born August 22, 1851 in Cavelese, Trentino Italy; died March 10, 1941 in Clinton Indiana USA); Francesco was married to Maria Pattis, born May 26, 1855 in Tesserro Italy, died July 12, 1925 in Clinton Indiana USA. I have no other information going any further back from these two. I believe that Maria had a brother named Vigile (or it could be her fathers name). Maria was married twice, the first time to a doctor in Italy by the last name of Basu; the second time to Francesco. I am looking for information on their parents, siblings, etc. Francesco and Maria's son, August Vanzo (born August 25, 1879 in Cavalese Trentino Province Austria (now Italy)) was married to Madelina Marietta. I have no information on her at all except for the following: Born February 27, 1881 in Coassolo, Torinesse, Province Piedmonte, Italy; died April 2, 1952 in Clinton Indiana USA. I know she had a brother by the name of Joe Marietta, and several other siblings (I do not have their names though). Any help in finding information would be greatly appreciated.

Since you have full names and birthdates and towns of irign in Italy you can request documents from their respective towns of birth and also look up for any relativesd that may still be in those towns by gioing to www.paginebianche.it and inserting the surname in the first line and the town in the third line and clicking CERCA foir the listing, IF ANY, of those persons with the same last name,address and telephone number. You may also wish to go to the Mormon church family history library nearest your home and request the microfilm for each of the towns you mentioned and conduct your research that way. Research is conducted by you and we merely direct you to appropriate websites and addresses. Please let me know how you make out. Entry data into the USA is also helpful and if they came thru NYC then you can go thru Ellisislandrecords.org. Peter

Post Script: Please bear in mind that civil records may exist in those towns that may have been part of Austria or Switzerland going back before 1873 when Italy became unified and civil records in North Italy was instituted. Southern Italy has records dating back to 1803 bvecause it was an established Kingdom at time of unification. The only other source for documents are the local parish churches should the civil records not gone on before 1873. There are no microfilm records of church records at trhe family history libraries.
