Could I qualify for Italian citizenship?

could I get dual citizenship through my Great Grandfather? My Great Grandfather (paternal) came over in 1908. He never became a US Citizen. My Grand Father did become a citizen in 1919, I have his naturalization papers. I was told I could claim Italian Citizenship through my Great Grandfather because he never was naturalized. Before I start the process of gathering everything and spending money I want to find out if I even may qualify. Any info would be appreciated.

It depends on whether your parent (the child of your grandfather who naturalized in 1919) was born when the father became a citizen. If they were already born (and in the US) then yes you can.

The fact is you can't "skip" a generation, it has to be an unbroken line.

If the child was born after 1919 then unfortunately he/she lost their Italian citizenship rights with their father.

The Line was broken my father wasnt born until 1930. So I am not eligible. Thanks for the info.
