Giuseppe Campolongo - Brooklyn, NY

Post by rg1905 »

I am trying to find a census with my uncle Giuseppe Campolongo (Joseph) who was born in Naples Italy in 1880. I've searched and searched but I can't find him in any census in Brooklyn, NY. I found a WWI draft that shows he lived in Brooklyn at that time and also at the time of the WWII draft. My father didn't ever meet him and he doesn't know any names of his children. According to my father's family, Giuseppe was a very religious Catholic and was nicknamed a "parochian" by his relatives. According to the WWI draft he was a painter for St. Finbar's RC church in Brooklyn. I just can't seem to find a census result that points to him. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I even tried to do a search on just the name Giuseppe and entered Brooklyn and Teresa (his wife according to the draft records and ship record). Finding him in the census would help me find out his children's names and really add to my family tree on that side.
Thanks! R

1920 census:
Bath Beach, Brooklyn
If the Campolongo family was still living
at 1560 Bath Ave in the 16th District, ED 963,
they weren’t included in the census.
Bath Ave is on several pages, esp 8A & 9A,
on 'catch-up' page 12A only two families were
counted at 1560 Bath.

1920, 1560 Bath Ave
