i'm looking for information on Giuseppe Tracchia born in Wilmi, Italy and emigrated to Argentina when he was 9 years old (around late 19th century)... he is my great-grandfather.. I am not sure the correct spelling of his first name... what is the traditional spelling for that name Giuseppe??? His son, my grandfather was Ruben Jose Tracchia...

There were 55 Tracchia who immigrated to Argentina during the late 19th century and the spelling for Giuseppe is correct. The town you mention may very well be GUILMI, Postale 66050, Chieti province Abruzzo.

If you go to www.paginebianche.it you will find 7 TRACCHIA surnamed persons currently residing in GUILMI. Put Tracchia inthe first line and Guilmi in the third liune and click CERCA and all 7 will appear in full name,addresses and telephone number. =Peter=

My grandparents are all Guilmi and brothers and sisters of my grandmother Candila Racciatti (Michele, Novilio, ....) emigrated to Buenos Aires.

Hola Giussepe, mi nombre es Jose Tracchia y soy pariente de los que emigraron de chieti por aquellos años, mi abuelo primero se habia ido para Buenos Aires pero luego se radico en Uruguay, tenia un tio tambien que se llamaba Ruben Tracchia , luego con los cruces terminamos siendo por mi abuela , Tracchia Racciati, bueno primera vez que escribo, cualquier cosa contestarme .
