Grandfather was orphan

Hi,
Growing up we were told that my grandfather was left on a doorstep in the Benevento area and parents were unknown. Last year I requested his birth cert and to my surprise, I received it. It shows his parents as unknown. I just received his marriage cert. from Boston and it lists his parents as Pasquale Sinopoli and mother as Felicia Russo. I am confused as there were no parents listed on his BC from Italy. Do I go by this info or the BC from Italy? How would I find out is these are his parents? My grandfather's name was Domenico Sinopoli and he arrived in 1905.

Hi Italiami,

I would guess that Pasquale and Felicia were his adoptive parents.
If so, this might give you another lead to pursue.
