Does Paezzo sound like Piazza?
I just receieved the birth certificate from New Orleans for my cousin second removed... And was surprised to see that her mother's maiden name is Paezzo... I always thought it was Piazza since my Mother's maiden name was Piazza...

Hi Mark,
That doesn't sound correct. I think it must be a mistake and should probably be Piazza.
I just did a quick check on gens Italia site and the name Paezzo doesn't exist.

Here is the site, Mark,

I am sure someone just tried to spell Piazza phonetically and with a French/Cajun influence, it could have come out many ways.
