What do you do if death date wrong on social security death
I have found out that death index has wrong death date for my Great Aunt. Has any one run into this before? What should I do? I have her death certificate. Thanks. N.

I would speak with the nearest Socisal Security Office and ask them for the best routing to correct the error...there must be a department or unit that handles errors of this nature.
You also might wish to go to www.socialsecurity.gov/org which shows reporting relationships within the social security administration. =Peter=

I guess there are mistakes in everything. I just have the death certificate, funeral card, and the gravestone has right date. N.
