The Census has E Lallo as a female.. but i don't think
Louis, Maria, Lucille, Etalo and
Louis, Mary, Lucy, E Lallo is a coincidence when the ages coincide almost exactly with the birth dates i have. The ship records for maria and the kids show their crossing all happening at the same time, and this census record provided by suanj has maria coming in 1920 when the kids date is 1926.
So is this many mistakes in a census record considered "normal"? I feel like this IS them.. too many things add up. Thanks you suanj and misbris for providing images of the records! All the time your giving is much appreciated.

Yes, Etalo is listed as daughter and not as son, but it could be a error; no rare... also Louis is laura in the census... the error are normal...

Maria immigration is 1920; however after the 1920 and before of 1922 the family back in Italy; because the first child was born in Italy and the father(Louis) was US naturalized.... when Maria and children came in 1926, she was US citizen by marriage ( apr 1921; so maybe married in USA) .... the children also... and surely Louis was already back in USA ; I think that Louis alone came back in USA around 1924/5... the 1930 census , second my opinion, is correct.....and if my suggestion is right also, louis had the passport for to back in Italy, because he was naturalized...

So is Louis an Anglicized name for Luigi? So if maria came in 1920 before the marriage, she would've traveled under her natural name, correct?

Hi
the name of my grand-mather's siter was Maria (Mary). Her husband name was Louis Gazzarari. I have some addresses where they lived in America.
In the 1960s they lived Gallagher St. Detroit Michigan,
then they moved in Gth st. Waterloo Iowa.
They had a daughter Lucia (lucille) and a son called Italo (Etalo), which I heard by my grand-mather.
Are they Maria and Louis that you are looking for? If so, I can help you if you want.

Hi
I am very interested in the posts regarding Louis and Maria. They were my grandparents, and I may be able to help. They had three children the last of which is my father. I have been gathering info which may be useful.

I am also very interested in the latest post regarding Maria (my grandmother) and her family outside of America. I believe there were siblings that lived in South America at one time.
