Campagnari and Battistoni from Verona

Post by MargaretWest »

Hello!

I am thrilled to have found this site.

I am looking for any information I can on my great-great-grandparents and their families. The information I have is as follows:

My g-g-grandmother was Angelina Fiorina Campagnari, as listed on her birth certificate from San Zeno Di Montagna, Verona, Italy. She was born in 1879 to Angelo Campagnari and Bartolamea Dal Bon. She came to the US on June 29, 1896.

She married my g-g-grandfather on January 24 1899 in Springfield, Mass.

His name was Eugenio Battistoni. He was born on March 25, 1875 in Magugnano, Verona, Italy. He came to the US on August 16, 1891. His mother is listed on the marriage certificate as 'Coroceffera' Veronesi. (I have been told the first name was probably a mis-spelling of Crocefissa).

Does anyone have more information on these people?

Any help in directing me to other places to look would be most appreciated, as I am very new to all of this.

Thank you,

Margaret

Hello,
Magugnano is a village belonging to Comune of Brenzone (province of Verona).
Try to have a look to Brenzone civil records

http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... umns=*,0,0

or contact comune of Brenzone

http://www.comune.brenzone.vr.it/home_page.htm

I hope it helps, bye ricbru

Hi Margaret,

I just came across your post today. I was wondering if you had any luck with the Brenzone civil records. For years, I've been telling myself I need to look at those but the information I had didn't go back far enough. I just found out that my g-g-ggrandfather was Giovanni Battistoni from Castelletto di Brenzone, Verona. His wife's name was Caterina Veronesi.

I wonder if we're related!
