Is the additinal information you are seeking anecdotal or historical. If you would specify what the nature of the additional information you would like to receive is then I can think about ways to assist you without reinventing the wheel. Peter

Go to www.ellisisland.org for the correct spelling since you know year of birth and the town. Italian is writtten as it is pronounced so you should have little difficulty in finding both names. You can aslo go to www.paginebianche.it afterwards to checkout the surnames in the town with others having the same surname in that town and ask them if they are related to you. Put in the durname in the dfirst line and the town in the third line and click cerca. Peter

It is ABBONDANDOLO and there are 44 persons in Frigento bearing that surname. The other name DELL\'ERARIO is correct and there are 26 persons having that name in Gesualdo. If you cannot find any relatives by name then You can simply write one letter and mail it to everyone you choose along with a self addressed envleope and dollar inside for sdtamps. Write in Italian or in very simple short english sentences. Peter

You are not reading what I said. Go to www.ellisisland.org for immigrant arrival records for your greatgrandparents Abbandandolo and Dell\'Eraria. You have their birth dates and towns of origin so it should not be difficult for you. The 44 Abbandandolo and 26 Dell\'Eraria are found in italy and can be located by name addrss and telephone number by going to www.paginebianche.it. Even if its written in Italian all you have to do is put inthe sunrame in the first line and the town in the third line and then click CERCA and the entire listing will show up. I cannot do the work for you but I am here to explain what to do and help you in anyother way I can. Peter

My family is from Frigento, and I live in Waterbury, CT.

My grandfather's sister, Carmen Pugliese, stayed in Frigento and married Antonio ABBANDANOLO. All I know about her is that she was born 1902, died 1958. They had a son Gerardo "Jerry" ABBANDANOLO.

My grandfather was Giuseppe,Abbondondolo, from Taurasi. my great grandfather was Antonio Abbondandolo. Notice the vowel in the third syllable, the "a" changed to an "o" after Ellis Island. Grandpa came over with his mother, Angelina Piscopo, and siblings, and they settled in Boston.
I am now in CA. I have cousins here, in Boston, NY and Maine. The NY group are descendants of my great grandfather Antonio. He never went back for his family, started another one in NY....they have truncated the name to Abbondola. There are many of them.

I was recently in Italy, met some of the family, it is spelled Abbondandolo.

Good luck with your search.
