Sal4,
Great news! I hope you win that special CD! And may I make another suggestion? Once you obtain it, make multiple copies of it!
Keep us informed, this is a race to the finish!

Re: Help finding Italian Christmas CD Lou Monte
Hi Linda & Sophia....I have to tell you 1st that I will be making multiple copies of this CD if I'm lucky enough to win one of the auctions...2nd on top of wanting the CD for Christmas I need some of the songs to go with the DVD that I'm making for all of my 1st cousins of family photo's set to music...I have separated the pictures so that when Family holiday pictures come up it will play Lou Monte's It's Christmas at Our House, and when each of my father's siblings pictures show it will be set to their favorite Italian singer, and when my father's (our family ) pictures starts to show on the DVD it will be set to Pipino the Italian Mouse (that was the first song in Italian that we were taught my my father.....So this CD is so much more than Christmas memories....I can't wait...........Thanks for everyone's help.....I will keep everyone posted on the auction.....One ends in 2 .5 days and the other in 5 or so days..........Incase anyone is interested the picture that shows up here on the forum above my name is my father's parents & siblings...My father is the child all the way to the right with his hand on his oldest brother's leg...The picture was taken in 1920 when my father was 6 yrs old...I just love that picture.........Sal4

Dear Sal4,
Your project is a treasure! It will become a family heirloom. I hope that perhaps you will put your movie on youtube or a family website once it is done. I think we all would love to see it! You inspire us all to try a little harder to do the same for our families and future families! BRAVO! What a great gift you are giving this year!

Re: Help finding Italian Christmas CD Lou Monte
Linda, Thank You for your kind words.....I don't know about making my DVD on youtube, but I'm very curious how do you do a family website?....I can make the DVD with no problem, but as of creating a web site I don't know....I would like for others to see this DVD and your idea sounds pretty good to me.........My DVD will have an average of 400-600 pictures on it with hopefully some stories and a background (history of each family member from 1800's to last yr when my father's last brother passed away at the age of 92)and of course the music.........I just wanted my children to know where they came from and who each member of my father's family is........My children never got to experience how the holidays were truly like with my parents, because my father passed away when my daughter was 3 and my son 1......My parents were older when they had my brothers & myself.......So I thought this DVD will give them most of the Iasalvatore Family History and traditions, even though I still do most of the holiday traditions, it's just not the same as when my father was alive and his siblings, what great holidays we all had.....So this is my way of preserving our family history for generations to come......Sal4

Re: Help finding Italian Christmas CD Lou Monte
Sal,
I have been looking at Private Family sites for a few days now. I would like to post online as well but I want to keep things family only, especially the pictures and such.
That way family members can contact me during my research. I want it password so I don't get spam and junk like that.
Take care,
Lois M.

Re: Help finding Italian Christmas CD Lou Monte
Hi Lois M..........I do have some pictures on Ancestry.com, but I have kept my family tree as private and I have to invite family to be a guest, but it is a pain to invite everyone in our family to see it.......After the holidays, I just may look to see how to do a Family web-site.....My daughter's boyfriend knows how to do web-sites, so he may be of help with this new project....Let me know if you find anything out......Thanks........sal4

Re: Help finding Italian Christmas CD Lou Monte
If that doesn't work, let's put out an "APB" to all our email lists to see if someone has this Lou Monte CD they can copy for you. You never know who might come up with something!
Re: Help finding Italian Christmas CD Lou Monte
Hi LinJ47.........That will be fantastic if someone could make me a copy, if I don't win any of the auctions....I have bid pretty high and I still have lost one....Two more to go and one ends in 16 hrs, so we will see.......
