Greetings Everyone,
My father and I are planning on applying for dual citizenship at the same time. Is it necessary for each of us to have separate certifications? ie. Will we each need to present separate copies of all the birth, death, marriage and divorce certificates with apostille?
Originally, I thought this was the case, but I came across a website here and there that mentioned that it was not necessary. I was hoping some of you old hands could clarify the situation. Thank you all ahead of time.
Michael

Which consulate? How old are you?
Generally speaking, in a case like this, your father does all of the hard work (that is, his case requires full documentation all the way back to the Italian-born ancestor), and the child (you) is merely an additional birth certificate (and marriage, if applicable).

I myself am over 18. It'll be at the Chicago consulate.
