Salvatore Ianniello

Post by oilman19 »

My mother's father always thought he was an only child. It looks like he had a sibling. Please confirm.
Thank you,

Jim

Jim, I believe that the confusion is abt the similar surname; on this first birthact the surname is Iannelli and not Ianniello;
data:
Sant’Anastasia: 15 May 1844 birth act of :
Salvatore IANNELLI son Andrea Iannelli late Gaetano of age 42 and Carolina Palma late Giovanni 30 old;
1.Salvatore married the 5 dec 1867 at Francesca Monaco
2. Salvatore married the 23 march 1889 at Giovanna Di Mar….

the second birthact is abt Salvatore IANNIELLO:
Santa Maria Capua a Vetere-8 Apr 1884 birth of Salvatore Ianniello son of Francesco Antonio Ianniello age 28 and Anna Scialla(? spell?)..
regards,
suanj
ps: correction abt father first name

Thank you for helping me sort these records. I hope on second glance, you will tell me the father is Francesco Antonio Ianniello. Also, no age for Anna Scialla? I have been frustrated trying to find her birth record. No documents so far have provided me with her age.
As always, your expertise is very much appreciated.

Please help me. I have attached my grandfathers birth act. It sure looks like the same parents to me. The translation indicated His father was Francesco Antonio 44 years old. Sammaco's father is Tommaso Antonio 28 years and this occurred 4 years later. Am I misinterpreting what I am able to read?
Can someone help me determine what seems to be most correct?
Thank you,

Jim

Santa Maria Capua a Vetere:
birth act of Fioravante IANNIELLO, born the 28 may 1889, son of Francesco Antonio Ianniello 44 aged and Anna Scialla; the home is in Via Campania (address) the same of address of Salvatore Ianniello birth act( b. 1884); Fioravante Ianniello married in 1910 at Antonia Martora..

the age of Francesco Antonio in 1884 is 28, in 1889 is 44; so I believe that in Salvatore's birth act the Francesco Antonio age is wrong, maybe he was 38 and not 28(but on the birthact is wrote "ventotto"=28), because if Francesco Antonio was 38 ( instead of 28), in 1889 the him age must be 43/4 and in this case matching...
I understand that you know that Fioravante was only son, but also it is possible that Salvatore died young, and in this case Fioravante remaining without brother and only child of Francesco Antonio and Anna Scialla...

it is that your concern?

Yes it is and thank you for clearing that up for me. I was hoping to narrow down Francesco's age to make my search easier. I may have better success finding his matrimoni record.
As always, you are a big help in my pursuit of ancestors and family.
Thank you,
