Scialla-Ianniello matrimoni

Post by oilman19 »

I have had a great week. :D I just found my ggrandparents matrimoni. I know who their son is (my gf), but nothing about their ancestry. I'm hoping this document will lead me to places I have not been yet.
Thanking you in advance for any help you can provide me.

Hi Jim :-)
Congratulations on your find!

Marriage of Francesantonio Ianniello and Anna Scialla
1882 , 26 November in SMCV
Francesantonio Ianniello (that is the spelling I see), 26, farmer, born and residing in SMCV, son of Salvatore of SMCV, and Domenica (I have to enlarge document to get the last name)
to
Anna Scialla, 25, farmer, daughter of deceased Raffaele and Maria Tescione (will check this spelling)

Hi T.
Could it be Francesco Antonio Ianniello?

Domenica's last name could be Bellardo.

Maria's last name definitely looks like Tescione.

Witnesses:
Daniele Zagaria, 71 (can't make out occupation)
Francesco Simone (sp?), 50, town policeman/guard

Yes, but here they have combined the names. This is not uncommon.

Yes, I have seen that. I had Mariantonia changed to Maria Antonia on a succeeding document.
Was Anna from S.M. and did the marriage occur in S.M.?

Yes, I'm sorry I omitted that... Anna Scialla was born and residing in SMCV. So were her mother and father.

The marriage was at 11 AM at the town hall before Cavaliere Gennaro Mesalella (sp?) in SMCV.

Thank you so much. I have Ianniello and Scialla documents I have been saving. Maybe I will be able to expand my tree.
Another piece of the puzzle to fill in with your help.
Many thanks,

Jim
