Information about Rodi, Garanico...

Is this your Thomas? 1920 and 1930 Census with wife Catherine in Hoboken. In 1920 Census their oldest son is "Zarro" which is probably Lazzaro, and for whom I have found a WWI registration card naming his father Thomas as nearest relative.

Re: defelice
Nice finds, Valarie
Uncle Francesco is on line 16 right below them on the manifest, and his destination is to his brother-in-law Tommaso Defelice.

Re: defelice
Hi T !
Just using the clues in the records you found
Valarie
Tom
Here's a possible 1918 WWI Card for Tommaso DeFelice.
Same address as T's find for son Lazzaro
http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/4409/1918r.jpg
- birth date may be an estimate
- filed 1st papers for naturalization
Here's a link to ordering naturalization papers for Hudson County
http://www.hudsoncountyclerk.org/natural.htm
If Tommaso's ship manifest can't be found, his naturalization paperwork will have the ship arrival information.
Based on his children's ages he probably arrived between 1904 and May 1907

Re: defelice
Tom,
This may be a relative, Tommaso's sister or a cousin (Maria Defelice) from Rodi, arriving 1907 and heading to Hoboken to join husband Domenico Luciano. Traveling with Maria is son Antonio. Age is right, she was born about 1875.

Re: defelice
In my family tree (DiLella- from Rodi G) I show Costanza DiLella (b. 1 Apr 1838) and Giambattista Filomeno DiFelice marrying in 1860.
Rodi Garganico is a small seaside village. DiFelice is a very popular name there.
Good Luck on your search!! I'm in the middle of tracing my family, too.
