Cono first name exist, for devotion to Saint Cono martyr ( 1° century d.C.)
http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Cono

I know that this first name is used especially in south Italy ( Salerno province, Campania region)..
Conuccio ( no Canuccio) must be the diminutive of Cono..

It means "cone" as in cono gelato = ice cream cone.

PS: Of course, this may not have anything to do with its useage as a name.

Hi, but Cono first name is a first name of turkish heritage; because Saint Cono (or Conone) coming from Bidana town in Turkey, near Iconio town (Iconio/Konia second the language spelling if italian or turkish)
so, my idea is that ice cream cone is no right... maybe it is pertaining of Saint Cono birtharea...
