Hi Mark,
Valarie given good advice;
obviously if your Luigi was born in 1868, you can find only the marriage record in LDS microfilms, surely, as a well the children birth...

for birth and death certificates you must know the dates of birth and death,
but for Luigi birth you cannot obtain the birth certificate from Ferentino civil records office, but you can request the baptism act (and need of to know the birthdate and the parish also!) to priest where your Luigi was baptized... so it is a bit hard....

For gravestone pictures in Italy needing of special permission of Major; but it is no sure that you can find old gravestones....

Yes I have been going to the LDS church for 3 months or so also have the $300. version of Ancestry.com. I have looked at 3 films at LDS for about 9 hours. nothing on those. But have ordered another one last week. waiting for that one to come in.

Both have given me new leads... Yes, I do not have a firm DOB on Luigi or spouse. but I know one of his children Angelo. Is there a way I can get a birth cert on him??? Maybe that will give me more info????

For Angelo birth certificate no problem... you can request it and the birthdate is enough, as a well the father first name... no problems...
For Luigi... you can find the marriage act in LDS microfilms... maybe also the banns, because in the banns it are more infos also... I know not in what province was Ferentino, prior of becoming Frosinone province( Frosinone is province from 1920s..), because if Ferentino was in Caserta province you can request the military record( lista di leva) because you know the probable birth year, you will find (by marriage act) the Luigi parent's name and is enough for a search in military records... so you can know the exact birthdate... the problem is to know the previous province of Ferentino... I made a little search, but no found... if Ferentino was part of Caserta province, before of 1920s it is possible a request... but if not, frankly I know not as to make...
