Antoinette Niglio - Where in Italy Does She Come From?

I have been tracing my family back to their respective towns in Italy. To date I have been successful in finding both my maternal grandparents and my paternal grandfather. Still a huge mystery to everyone is my paternal grandmother. I don't know my father so this has made the search even more challenging.

I am trying to find where my grandmother's family comes from in Italy. This is the only information I have to date.

1. Grandmother's name is Antoinette Niglio

2. Niglio is her married name and so far I have not
been able to find her maiden name to continue my search.

3. She married Ralph B Niglio Born: 27 sep 1904 Salerno, Campania, Italy Died: 22 oct 1988 United States.

4. They lived in Philadelphia and Delaware and they had 4 children (Emilio, Ralph - my father, Carmela and Charles).

Thank you kindly for such a fast response. Ralph came to the US when he was 4 and they were married here in the US - I believe Philadelphia (or Delaware). I have tried to find a marriage record but keeping hitting walls. I'm new at this so maybe I am just not going to the right spot but when I have looked, I come up with nothing.

Ralph Niglio died 10/22/1988 in zip code 19154 Phildelphia. Have you obtaineda copy of his SS5 application with biographical information. I can be obtainon the internet if you wish. =Peter=

As Peter stated, you can request the Social Security application for Ralph Niglio, on which will be his place of birth and his parents' names (which should include his mother's maiden name)

You can also request Antonette's SS application. That will ALSO include her place of birth and her parents' names.

unfortunately the LDS Beta image only shows the ledger license index information. It does give a record # 629649

Several of you helped me out a couple of years ago on my quest to find information about my paternal grandmother. After searching for these past 2 years I am still no further along and was hoping to reach out to this wonderful group of folks to see if you can please provide me some guidance.

In my last quest, you guided me to her marriage license so that I could obtain her maiden name, which to date remains the only document I have about her. To this date, even with her maiden name, I still can not trace from where in Italy she came. I can't confirm if she was born in the United States or in Italy. I have maintained a membership to Ancestary.com with the hope that every so often, as they update, their documents and such, something new would surface but I have had no luck. I can't find anything on her, or her parents. I can't even find her obituary.

It is very importnat to me to try and at least understand from where she came as this is the only missing link in my family history. Is there anything or any place to where you can guide me for assistance? I would be beyond grateful for any shred of information I can find on her or her parents.
