Civil records of births,marriages deaths are on micorfilm for the period 1810 to 1910 in the Family History Library of the Mormon church nearest your home for the town of Mercatello sul metauro. The ciost is nominal amnd the research is all encompassing for you. if you purchase the book Discovering ZYour Italian ASncestors by Lynn Nelson you will find it an excellent companion to the micorfilm search. Don't forget to bring a magnifying glass since it is handwritten and needs to be deciphered on occasion. Peter
