I have a marriage certificate dated 4th September 1881 in Birmingham, and i have also a Birth certificate showing the parents place and date of marriage as 27th May in Cassino. Italy.
Can someone please tell me if you think this is a deliberate mistake or true?

It could be that the marriage in Cassino was not recognized in UK and they had to have another ceremony in Birminghan.
